What personal items should I bring with me?

Bring clothing appropriate for participation in your therapy/exercise program. (Pants/shorts and shoes with non-slip soles). A sweater or light jacket. Basic personal care items are provided. You may bring additional items if you have a preference. Leave items of personal or monetary value at home. It is best to limit the amount of personal items that you bring.

Will I have a roommate?

Yes, you will most likely have a roommate during your stay. The majority of our rooms are semi-private. Private rooms are available to accommodate medical needs

Will my Doctor follow me here during my stay?

You will be assigned to one of our physicians upon admission. Your physician will monitor your care while you remain a patient here at our facility. Upon discharge home, you will return to the care of your primary care physician.

How much does medicare pay for my stay and for how long?

f you have been hospitalized for 3 consecutive days within the past 30 days, and have need for skilled nursing care or rehabilitation, under Medicare guidelines the following coverage is available to you under your Medicare benefits:

  • 100% coverage for the first 20 days
  • 80% coverage from day 21 through day 100

If you have a Medicare Supplemental Insurance plan it may cover the 20% not covered by your Medicare plan.

What are the visiting hours?

Visiting hours are daily from 11:00 am until 8:00 pm.

What if I can't go home after my stay?

Your case manager will assist you in finding the most appropriate facility upon completion of your rehabilitation program. We do have a long term care program available at Manatee Springs.
